Kevin was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina and raised in Richmond, Virginia. Kevin grew up speaking English and German due to his mother being born and raised in Germany.  After completing his degree in German Studies at Randolph-Macon College, Kevin worked for Allianz Global Assistance as a claims examiner while also volunteering with his church to teach English to Spanish speaking children and adults. In 2016, he moved to Marburg to continue his passion of teaching English to non-native speakers.
